rmncwrtr
I could not imagine doing that unless I was attached to something the entire way and even then, probably not Guess I'm not as far along with my getting over my fear of heights thing as I thought I was
Alpinfox
don't slip here  CC, that is a repost. Jeez, you should pay more attention.    I think this is a better way to approach climbs: Picket Range Approach Vehicle?

rmncwrtr
Haha, Bill. Â Well it was new to me. Not sure how I missed the original, but I've been hit or miss around here. Â At least it wasn't another Cluckers post! That one must hold the record for number of reposts!

Notice the cable anchored to the side of the wall the whole way up? It's a climber's handrail. Put on your harness, girth hitch two slings to it, and add one biner to each sling. Clip one biner to the cable handrail. When you reach an anchor point, clip your other biner on the opposite side of the anchor from your first biner. Then detach your first biner from the cable. Walk to the next anchor point. Repeat ad infinitum.
