olyclimber Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 he's ok...gonna end up with a metal rod in his right tibia just like i got 6 months ago. he was working on his quadrunner trailer and had it up in the air and the straps broke and it fell on him. about 1000 pounds. he is in the fire dept. there and called it in himself without telling them it was actually him. compound fracture of the tibia, that and the fibula were crushed pretty good. That totally sucks! Sorry to hear it. Because he worked for the fire dept, he has excellent insurance, yes? Hope all works out for him. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 well its a volunteer fire dept, so its not his full time gig. yep, has insurance. but the most important thing is he's going to be ok (and not lose his leg!). the axle from the trailer went right through his tibia. he now as identical hardware to what I have. he's going to be staying with me for a while so i can cart him back into the doctors and then i'll take him back up to AK.
