Dechristo Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 The suit says 'God has caused, “fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects, and the like.”' Quote
Adam13 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hah A Nebraska jury would never find against god!! Quote
catbirdseat Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 The suit says 'God has caused, “fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects, and the like.”' It's enough to test one's faith, ain't it? Adam13 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Yes, god should set a good example to all of his faithful followers and reply to the lawsuit instead of hiding up in heaven. Quote
EWolfe Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Who judges this? There's a tough call. Quote
TREETOAD Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Who judges this? There's a tough call. The decider, that's who!! Quote
No. 13 Baby Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Who judges this? There's a tough call. The decider, that's who!! I'd imagine the decider would rename himself "the judger" in this situation. Quote

The only test remaining on my faith is to be proctored by Death. Quote
Bill_Simpkins Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 If God doesn't show up to court does the plaintiff win by default? Quote
No. 13 Baby Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 It is impossible for God not to appear; He is everywhere. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 (edited) Fearsome floods? Horrifying hurricanes? Egregious earthquakes? That's just God kickin' our ass for fuckin' up his image, with an extra dose of shit sandwich for cheezy alliteration. Edited September 19, 2007 by tvashtarkatena Quote

That's just God kickin' our ass for fuckin' up his image, with an extra dose of shit sandwich for cheezy alliteration. God sure did do a good job designing people. Fill them with hormones and mental disorders, give them free will then send them to Hell. If he wasn't atemperal, he might get fired. Is free will Religion's excuse for God messing up people so much? There was a time before religion ... before the profiteering of spirituality I mean. This guy sueing god is rather bold, but I believe it is a worthwhile political statement. I think both religious and non-religious people could see the value in it. Quote
archenemy Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Hmmm. Funny, all I see is a frivolous lawsuit taking up the time that could be used to put bad guys behind bars. Quote
