Seahawks Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 right to effect change! Our right to effect change went by by the minute Bush took office. Oh God, not this shit again. Take of the Beer googles your using for politics and use where they belong. Quote
underworld Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Wouldn't it be cool to devise an economic system in which a certain percentage of the population would become hopelessly trapped in devastating poverty -- and then take away their right to effect change! Yeah! You can do it! like the welfare system? Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 a certain percentage of the population would become hopelessly trapped in devastating poverty yeah, they just get "trapped". all by accident, nothing they ever did (or continue to do). You're right -- every single person in the country can be rich -- all at the same time! You believe in perpetual motion machines, too, don't you? Yay! Free Energy! I said nothing of the sort. Not to get too far off on the useless political bs, but it is actually very convenient as now he and his fellow Republicans has someone to blame. Quote

Oh but that Dem congress has really been busy enacting laws to bring about the social change they've been promising. Or wait.....What they've actually been doing is voting on resolutions to take our troops out of Iraq, that the president subsequently vetoes that the Senate subsequently doesn't have the votes to overcome nor will it until perhaps the next election. You talk about a bunch of posers....when in the hell are they going to quit their political posturing and start bringing about the social change that they keep talking about. Quote
underworld Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 wasn't it boxer that said she knew they wouldn't have enough votes for it to pass....but they needed to send a strong message. what a waste of time and money Quote
