kevino Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) Speaking from experience...don't buy a vw. Unless its an old orange bus with the saying "the destination is the journey" on the front of it. Edited June 8, 2007 by kevino Quote
Alex Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Speaking from experience...don't buy a vw. Actually, I own a VW and am happy with it. I also owned a 68 Westy and got tired of its ills. So whatever. But a newer VW will be more expensive than a 90's Honda, which is what I had before this VW and would recommend to anyone Quote
kevino Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I had a OBD1 VR6 that I ran up to ~165K miles and it just started falling apart. Then this shop but in some generic parts that were hella shitty when I broke down in spokane. And after driving home I ended up getting a cracked cyclinder. I really just had shitty luck and am somewhat bitter. I would just recommend finding one with lower miles and know the maintenance history very well. Quote
Kat_Roslyn Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 I won't buy a vw. Except if it's a bus that writes "furthur" on the front. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Sometimes buying a car is a great notion, sometimes not. Quote
