Gary_Yngve Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I wonder if VW or SG have any members named Smythe. Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 RE Steepstreet: The new start is pretty cool. The undercling is bomber and fun. The move out left after clipping felt a bit harder than I remember though, as you can no longer get a good right foot. Quote
jmace Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Aren't there Euro crags where the name of each route is painted at it's base, or is that urban legend? Â its like that in the new parts of cheakamus canyon complete with the grade, least it was like that last year. Quote
Rad Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 There goes my last excuse for not doing it, and my onsight! Thanks. Â ........... Â "RE Steepstreet: The new start is pretty cool. klar404 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 (edited) Does anyone remember the tag on the road cut just beyond the vantage parking lot? It read "Cornholling Gruntlog". I will never forget the concept.... Edited May 29, 2007 by klar404 Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted May 30, 2007 Author Posted May 30, 2007 Driving west on 45th, just before crossing under 99, someone's roadside rockery reads the tag "BEAR SNATCH". Can't help but laugh every time I see it. Quote
EWolfe Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Some might remember "R o b G i l l y b o b" painted on the train bridge west of bigfoot espresso on US 2, a longtime favorite of mine. Some jerk painted "joyride" over it... so sad. Â 007.5 Â SLICK WILLIE! Quote
richard_noggin Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 BTW, has anyone climbed Steep Street since that huge block fell off? It looks like the opening moves now involve a committing undercling on a questionable protrusion that could easily snap off and lead to a backflipping groundfall. Thanks. Â Please say it ain't so!!Has steep street really changed? Please say it's not the cool starting moves to the first bolt.It was the same a week or so ago. Quote

Can't help but laugh every time I see it. there was one of these on 45th and densmore on the wells fargo building. only, it was right above a bench, so the first time i saw it, there were 2 little old ladies sitting there with a giant bear on its hind legs behind them and those words tagged next to it all.
