nevermind rockfall

was up at nevermind on weds nite (hadn't been there since last sept) noticed a large chunk of rock at the base of steep street / under arrest. looks to have afected some of the 1st few moves (didn't look that close)

anyone have any info on this?

No but, I was alone with no one else around at Write-off Rock once. It was quiet (quiet being relative with i90 in the background of course) and then suddenly I heard a horrific thundering roar of rock fall apparently from somewhere up the Change Creek drainage! It was very loud and rumbled and echoed for quite a long time. Just another "make you feel small in nature" moment. Small, but at the same time so fortunate for the experience.

it's known for having sporadic rockfall. Most likely it went on its own, so I'd be more surprised if anyone DID have info.

Chipping holds. Who would think about doing something like that?? If I ever saw somebody with a crow bar up there, well I'd, ummmm oh wait a minute. Nevermind.

I'll admit, 38 is a choss pile but it has routes just as hard as index's hardest (mid 13) and it has had way less chipped hold monkey business than index.

 

32 is way better.
