sheaf_stout Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I donated some money to a fund which goes to injured Iraq War veterans. What did you do today to support the troops? Besides whine about gas prices and undermine their work by protesting in the streets or online.. Go give some time and or money in support of our troops. Quote
Lars Larceny Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I sent an email to my Congressman to vote to end funding for the immoral war and bring all the troops home ASAP. THAT'S supporting the troops! Quote
Crux Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Today, as is normal in Iraq, the genitals of two American servicemen were amputated in the field by medical rescue personnel. No doubt, contributions to a fund for injured veterans will provide much needed consolation and support to these soldiers. Please specify the name of the fund to which you contributed. Quote
archenemy Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Today I got a letter from my best friend who is back in the field for a second year of service. I'll write back and send the card tomorrow. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I went to the anti war march in Seattle, good turn out dispite the rain. As for undermining the troops, aren't they fighting for our freedom to protest? Or is it just the oil or god. I'm confused............ Quote

Couloir Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I didn't do it today, but 2 weeks ago I sent over my third pair of Desert Boots to another soldier. They have their government issue boots, but evidently, they love these. They're more comfortable, especially in the heat and they tend to last a lot longer. Anyway, it's not much, but I hope it makes thier hard work a little easier. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I bragged about what I did for the troops today on a forum full of people I'll never meet and who I actually despise. Quote
Dechristo Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Thanks for the reminder. I need to send another email to...(is it LanceGranite's friend?). Quote
foraker Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I paid my taxes, which is, ostensibly, supposed to go towards 'helping injured veterans' except your buddy Chimpy McFlightsuit Decided to cut veterans benefits and Decided that Halliburton et al needed the money more than Walter Reed Hospital. This made me so depressed, I went out and ate vast quantities of carbohydrate-laden engineered food products and cheap beer and took a ride in my enormous gas-sucking truck. Apparently, while suffering the effects of a bad drunk and insulin shock, I purchased an overpriced, though highly patriotic, car magnet made by cheap foreign labor. This lit the fire under my ass to do something more for my country...this country which has given me so much for which I have done so little. So, I went out and enlisted. There's only one problem: I used your name. The bus leaves on Friday. You'll thank me later, I know it. Quote

lI1|1! Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 i thought positive thoughts, thereby decreasing the total level of animousity on the planet and conversely our need to have wars in the first place. Quote
