bstach Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Why do they cut a hole in the adze on most axes? Is this to save weight or does it have a functional purpose? My axe has a heart shaped adze-hole. Why heart shaped? My wife has no adze-hole, which is actually better for digging t-slots and such. Quote
kevbone Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Why heart shaped? Because there is love in the air. Quote
G-spotter Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 It's easier to open a beer with the heart shape. Hole in general lightens the axe Quote

rob Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 at least you don't use your adze-hole to open beer bottles Quote
