Cpt.Caveman Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 Not a whole lot of ice in Lillooet. Saw Cascadeclimber and group there. Met up with Lyle (Ice Ninja) and got smashed. He was showing us some great photos of his first ascent of Mount Dimsdale. Then told horror stories of how he once had his back broken from and acccident and also loosing a crampon midway up an ice climb and still finishing it by stepping on his other foot and smearing the ice with his boot heheheh. Saw avalanche from Night N Gale. Road was major hazard leaving out of there. Falling rocks, crazy dogs running in front of car, intense rain and winds... We had a good time. Wish there was more ice.
