chase986 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Im travelling to patagonia from january to june and am wondering if someone has some advice or suggetions on where to visit? Im planning on doing some semi-technical climbing but my main part of the trek will be backcountry skiing. Any advice would be awesome, cheers Quote
underworld Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 what is 'semi-technical'? - eat at Don Chicho's in Puerto Natales.... “Gracias Don Chicho” Quote
cj001f Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 you do know it's summer down there right now? spend jan-april in the south (start in Santiago, go down to P. William on the Chilean side, return to Mendoza on the Argentine side, spend may-june in Peru climbing/trekking) where in "patagonia" will you be? Quote
corvallisclimb Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I will be in patagonia from early dec thru march. I will be in the Puerto Natales area. If you would like some beta on climbing send me a pm including some specifics on where and such. I have spent almost a year living there so I have a little bit of knowledge about the area.. Quote
Jim Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 A tour of the Patagonian ice sheet behind Cerro Torre would be on the top of my list the next time I get down there. A friend spend 10 days out there and said it was un-worldly. Quote
