bigwalling Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Any trad mixed routes around the westside of washington that are single pitch and not full blown alpine routes? Quote
dmuja Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Si Hay Stack. I soloed half way up one winter with 2 alpine axes and a rope. To stupid to be scared until I thought about getting down and realized that that could be difficult with no gear. One committed move Ill never forget! - if it held I lived - if not ... Careful scary down climbing to a tree rap got me back though. Quote
wayne Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Illumination rock.sorry I keep doing this Quote
Jens Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Not many and even less sport mixed routes. Not enough to warrant buying fruit boots or the like unless you are driving to Banff a lot. Quote

Jason_Martin Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Single pitch tends to be bolted on the West Side of Washington: Tool Shed at Mount Baker Ski Area Rap Wall at Snoqualmie Pass Black Ice Crag Drytooling Area Near N. Bend CYA - Same area as last Lots of bolted mixed action happening over near Mazama these days too. To place gear on mixed terrain on the west side, you're going to have to climb mountains. At this crag behind the school. Quote
