G-spotter Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The Dunlops are selling, and the new buyer may not provide access. Quote
tradclimbguy Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 What a bummer. Skaha is a fun place to go and get some sport stuff in every once and a while. A bit hard finding camping outside of the RV parks or away from the logging trucks on the roads above town. I personally like the provincial park on the south end of the lake. A bit of a drive but it's cheap with another buddy or two. Hopefully they'll work with the new owner and gain access again. I'd really miss walking by that sign reading "Stairs for climbers not people..." or something funny like that. Quote
bwrts Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 can't you access the crags from the logging roads above town? Quote
G-spotter Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 No. There's a secret approach or two but if publicized they will be overrun and shut down so mum's the word. Quote
Mos_Chillin Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 That sucks, but we all knew it was coming. I hope they work something out, access is funky there given the amount of private land and lack of parking... Quote
