Okay - I really cannot believe that Enumclaw and Eatonville are drawing more votes than Kapowsin or Carbonado. Eatonville has flower baskets, for christ's sake!

 

What appears to be the main source of entertainment in Kapowsin and Carbonado is to abandon old vehicles (often mobile meth labs) on the side of the highway, then over the course of a week slowly demolish them, culminating in a midnight-torching. (Of course, the cops won't touch these things in order to have them towed. So they sit for weeks, sometimes months, along the shoulder.)

While waiting in the gracery store parking lot in Carnation one day I saw a mix of bubba trucks and mini vans. The commuters have got poor ol' bubba on the run. I'll bet there's some friction at the local high school between the locals and the newcomers.

I saw a guy in a Darrington grocery entertain his 3 or 4 year old daughter by blowing smoke rings in her face from his unfiltered camel. That was better than anyting I'd seen growing up in Conehatta, Mississippi
