gslater Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 From KATU's web site: "Over the weekend, officials feared for the safety of former Salem Mayor Bob Lindsey, who had climbed the 10,495-foot Mount Jefferson to celebrate his impending 79th birthday, so they sent a helicopter to get him and his wife, Pat, off the mountain." What the hell is that all about? "Officials feared for the safety"? Quote

dinomyte Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 And Bob probably started the puzzle fire with that damn skillet! Quote
gapertimmy Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 jlag and i were up at Carl lake a few weeks ago (sans skillet) and there was a bunch of fire planes buzzing just over the ridge for the better part of our first day up there.... This was right before the Lake George Fire went off, so I think they were working on the puzzle hot spot before it got started, but then they were distracted by the lk george fire... apparently they didn't fully put out the puzzle that week. barkernews Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Post the link. I haven't heard anything about this. Barker?? Dude, that's jacked, yo. Maybe I should run for office so I can get a helo-lift UP on a powder day... This totally went under my radar. I'll look into it and come back with an answer. Quote
gslater Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 On the KATU site it was buried in one of the stories about the recent fires. Only about one sentence. Quote
skeletor Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 One of my co-workers spoke to the rangers. The donkeys have been rescued! Quote
Chad_A Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I'd rather be an ass than an elephant. It's more fun. Quote
wayne Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I thought the weather delayed the lift-off of the Jefferson Quote
