Nope. Mochi is simply glutinous rice (mochigome) that's been pounded or otherwise processed into a paste like consistency. It’s eaten in a variety or ways and in combination with a variety of foods (e.g., ice cream), but it is not ice cream, pseudo or otherwise. FYI.
