Bandit Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Greenwater Skis  Louie and Jim. Best ski tuners ever. Quote
Doug_Hutchinson Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 What about near Portland? Â Great question. A few years, ago when Sam Bennetts (sp?) was still open, I would say Mike Atch was the best (where is Atch now?). Currently, in PDX I am happily impressed by Neal's work at US Outdoor. Â Any other PDX shoppes we should know about? Â PS - it typically comes to the tech, not the shop. Quote
Self_propelled Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I second Pro SKi, they seem to really understand the need to get the skis turned around quickly. You can usually get some good beta from those guys as well. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 props to pro ski. those guys actually ski ... outside of the boundary lines. ;-) Quote
Snafflecock Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I've had less than stellar service at ProSki  They botched a dynafit mount job on a pair of my skis  They've botched a tele binding mount for a roommate of mine (actually mounted the bindings 3" apart from one another when comparing the two skis)  They've called me before to tell me a tune job was done...I've driven across town to pick up the boards only to find that no work at all had been done...they said they'd tune them quickly...but then a buddy of their came into the shop and his skis moved to the front of the queue...and I waited for over an hour.  yeah, they're nice enough guys, but the quality control has been lacking in my experience.... korup Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Hey Snaffle, where those experiences at the ProSki in Seattle, or North Bend? Martin Volken sold the Seattle store. I've only had great service at the North Bend shop, but no experience with the one in Seattle. Quote
Snafflecock Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 sorry 'bout that, i should have mentoned which store. Â all my experiences were with the shop on Aurora....the dynafit screw-up was last season, the forgotten tune-up and tele botch were two years ago. Â Â Quote
