Alpinfox Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 So there I was, eating my lunch in the mostly deserted Rotunda, reading through the relationship advice column of the UW Daily Newspaper like I always do, when I happened to come across this: OMG!!! I especially liked the hero pose: Oh, and Gary... here is a little factoid for you: "Snowblindness: A burn of the cornea (the clear front surface of the eye) by ultraviolet B rays (UVB). Also called radiation keratitis or photokeratitis." Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 OMG!!! Right click>Set as background!!!!!!! OMG!!! Done and done! Is there any way we could get this image set as the background for cc.com? Quote
olyclimber Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 The picture is small, so I would recommend the "tile" setting. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Ha! In the ten essential sidebar, the most important essential - selecting the proper pixel count, physical size, and resolution for digital photography was left out!! Quote
G-spotter Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 President Gary appears to be dry-humping the green hold at groin level. Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Pax, thanks for the correction. That was my error, but the take-home message is still the same. There are other quotes that might sound funny or be technically incorrect -- the author was pretty liberal with attributing quotes and rewording them (the philosophy of quote it if it is plausible he could have said those exact words), but again, I think overall the take-home message is good. If the article helps just one person be safer/more prepared in the mountains, it did it's job. I'm glad they made the article. Oh, and Brian (guiran) forgot to take his "voice-in-my-head" medicine. marylou Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 President Gary appears to be dry-humping the green hold at groin level. She doesn't seem to mind, either. I hope Gary bought her a nice dinner or something. Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Nah, I paid her off with some white powder. That was kind of you to declare the hold feminine. Quote
