counterfeitfake Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Let's say you wanted to try to bag Prusik in one day, right now. Quote
John Frieh Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I've heard in SC and out Assguard is fastest but you'd need a car shuttle. I've always gone SC in and out. Quote
counterfeitfake Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 If it were dry I'd prefer Asgaard, but I've never been up it in snow and it seems like transitioning from crappy snow to rock and back over and over would suck. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Ass-gaurd is clearly easier right now. There's currently a lot of deadfall on Snow Creek trai. Colchuck Trail is pretty much dry to the lake and ass-guard is all snow, which would make for easy going. Quote
counterfeitfake Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 (edited) It's all snow? It looked kind of patchy from the top of Cashmere last Saturday, but that is a long ways away. Edited June 9, 2006 by counterfeitfake Quote
mr.radon Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Hiked it yesterday from Snow Creek. I thought it was easy going and I am recovering from a broken back. Getting around the trees was easy and there is a crew working the trail right now making short work of the downfall. Six climbers hiked in that day. They left several hours before me. I caught up to them at Lake Vivian. Three were going to do the East ridge and the other three the South face? I forget, anyhow the weather was moving in and I doubt they got far. It was raining most of the hike out. Saw a party on the last pitch of Outer Space. Can't wait till the doc clears me for rock climbing. My vore is for Snow Creek Trail. Quote
JoshK Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Both approaches are easy. Bitching about the Enchantment approaches qualifies you for automatic Colorado residency and a membership in the 14ers club. Quote

chris Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 In Asgard and out Snow Creek. The car shuttle shuffle isn't too hard. Quote
