willstrickland Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 If you're running a mac I can loan you quark, and I think I still have a copy of pagemaker. They are older versions, about 4 years old. Quote
layton Posted May 26, 2006 Author Posted May 26, 2006 nevermind, i've decided to scrap the guidebook Quote
mattp Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I'd go for some of Will's tradeware. With some of the programs available, such as photoshop or the word processing software I use (usually word or wordperfect) I actually prefer the older programs. They seem to do everything that I want to do but in a much simpler fashion. They also require a tiny fraction of the ram and seem to crash less. I'm not so sure that progress is a good thing when it comes to basic utility software. (Of course, I liked DOS.) Quote
ivan Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 nevermind, i've decided to scrap the guidebook it only took 2 hrs of work to dissuade you!?! dude, you should come sit in my classes, you'd fit right in! (plus i'm sure the kids would find you dead sexy ) Quote
