The Whiteness! The Whiteness!

Spears To Rap on New Album

Pregnant pop star Britney Spears is following her husband Kevin Federline's lead and learning to rap for her new "edgy" album.

The singer has enlisted Destiny's Child producer Jonathan "JR" Rotem to help cultivate her new sound.

The 24-year-old, who announced her second pregnancy on "The Late Show with David Letterman" last week, has vowed to balance her growing family with her pop career.

Rotem tells MTV, "She's been a mother and she'll still be doing that, but she's very much into her music.

"She literally can't go anywhere without her privacy being invaded. Everybody is trying to get information. So the record we wrote, it addresses the 'who do you trust' kind of thing.

"Not rap rap, but talk rap. It's definitely Britney, but the next level. With songs like 'Toxic' she was very innovative, and we're trying to top it. Push it to the next thing.

"The album wouldn't come out in a while anyhow, since it's at the very beginning. When it comes time to promote the album, she'll be in a different headspace where that's going to be the main thing. But right now, she's happy juggling music and motherhood."

In other Spears news, her husband, Kevin Federline, has added some ferocious new members to their growing family -- a shiver of sharks living in a giant tank.

The singer is terrified of the white sharks that are growing bigger by the day.

She says, "Kevin's sharks are the size of my arm. He feeds them tons of shrimp and they're getting bigger.

"I'm scared. They're white sharks, but they're not Great Whites."

Nice to see she'll still be 'into' that 'mother' thing...
