murraysovereign Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Yeah, that was the plan all along, as I recall. I'm a bit surprised it's going ahead so soon, but I shouldn't be. The last few seasons have convinced WB they need to expand their lift-serviced intermediate ski terrain at higher elevations in order to survive. The lower mountain was never been very reliable for snow, and now even the mid-elevation (where 90% of the intermediate terrain is presently concentrated)is warming up as well. It's the same rationale behind the Peak-to-Peak gondola idea. Quote
Stemalot Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 if this continues, eventually WB is gonna have gondolas for the entire Spearhead traverse. Quote
Ziff Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 a few years back, they asked for permission to put in quite a few very posh huts across the spearhead traverse, so who knows. Quote

G-spotter Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 They should dig an underground train inside the mountains with lots of gallery windows just like on the Eiger. Quote
