RogerJ Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I've searched the archives for some thread on lithium batteries, but only found various references. Has anyone had experience with lithium batteries enough to comment on their life, especially in colder weather? There is an appeal of less weight and longer life, but is it worth $12.50 for 4? Thanks in advance. -r Quote
Chad_A Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I'll add, hell yes. They work great in my digital camera in supa cold weather, and in my headlamp too. Two thumbs up. Quote
snoboy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Energizer makes a AAA lithium nowadays too! Put those in your tikka for everlasting headlamp! Quote
Bigtree Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Does anyone know of any rechargeable AA lithium battery brands out there? Quote
snoboy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I don't think that regular lithiums are rechargable, but there is such a thing as Li-ion batteries I believe... For example but I note that they are 3.6v, not 1.5v... Quote

RogerJ Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 OK Sold on Lithium. Thanks for the input. I went to Batteries Plus for now. My need for instant gratification overruled the patience\pocketbook. Plus I wanted to use them yesterday on a climb. -r Quote
