RogerJ
I've searched the archives for some thread on lithium batteries, but only found various references. Has anyone had experience with lithium batteries enough to comment on their life, especially in colder weather? There is an appeal of less weight and longer life, but is it worth $12.50 for 4? Thanks in advance. -r

snoboy
I don't think that regular lithiums are rechargable, but there is such a thing as Li-ion batteries I believe... For example but I note that they are 3.6v, not 1.5v...

As a hijack - has anyone ever used the BD Soliras headlamp? Comes with a Li-Ion battery + charger, costs a fortune ($225!)

RogerJ
OK Sold on Lithium. Thanks for the input. I went to Batteries Plus for now. My need for instant gratification overruled the patience\pocketbook. Plus I wanted to use them yesterday on a climb. -r
