Crystal et al Crazy closing?!

Is it just me or is Crystal crazy to close in early April? With the base they have this year it seems PRIME for some sunburn spring skiing. Same goes for Blackcomb closing mid April. Got to be a lot of people still out on the slopes - It's certainly not lacking conditions wise!

the amount of snow at the resorts has nothing to do with whether they stay open or close. once spring gets here and the days get warm and sunny most people stop skiing and start doing other things. while you are right, there still are lots of people still skiing, there just arent enough to support the economics of operating a ski resort. they are in it for the money, not for the great skiing.
