Alpinfox Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) OK, so I got myself a mountain bike. Now I need a couple things to make it a commuter. I need a rear fender and a set of wheels (26" X 1.5") with slick tires. Let me know if you've got something sitting in the garage that might work for me. Alpinfox Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 BUMP! Anybody got a set of mtn bike wheels with slick tires? How about a rear fender? If anybody would like a POS Peugot road bike that needs a new rear tire/tube and a front brake adjustment. I've got one. FREE! Quote
Zach Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I've got some wheels and tires what kind of shifters are you using? Also I might want the Pug. what size frame is it? Quote
Squid Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I've got some pretty sweet wheels that I'd be willing to part with (it'll cost you, though). These suckers have served me well, but I think I'm ready to move on without them. Make me an offer. Quote
ALLCAPS Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 BUDDY! I HAVE SOME SLICKS YOU CAN BUY. CHECK YOUR PMS. Quote

willstrickland Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Dude, one thing you need to make it a "commuter" is a "job". Quote
fenderfour Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I don't have wheels, but I have some 26 x 1.50 slicks you can have. I bought a roadbike and don't need to commuter-ify the hardtail anymore. Quote
ken4ord Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Dude, one thing you need to make it a "commuter" is a "job". Rumor is that after years of not working A-fox got himself a legit job. This ain't going off to far off ranges with sum ole fart for free, but I think he actually gets a pay check now-a-days. I am not sure if I believe it though. I mean who would have thought? Quote
willstrickland Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 What's the upside to that? I did that "gettin' a legit job" thing about 2 years, 5months, and 4 days ago. Well, I gotta run. Gotta have my TPS reports done by Monday. Pax, where are those new cover sheets? Quote
