ZimZam Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 When the mercury falls below 0 degrees F anywhere that's freakin' cold. Whats the name of that alcholic beverage the Mongols make from yak milk? Drink plenty of it. Quote
Distel32 Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 airag, and it's from mare's milk, this time of year it's mostly just cheap vodka, not the airag season Quote
DirtyHarry Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Atleast in Mongolia, when it gets that cold, you get to wear that straight pimpin traditional garb. Those are some fresh fly threads. Quote
Dru Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I bet you get sick friction with those felt boots too. Photo caption "Now, having wired my Mongolian assistant to this inverted crucifix, I will invoke Satan and the black concert rock T-shirt and transform him into a mulleted heavy metal fan!" Quote
Dechristo Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Grabbing a wild Mongolian snaffle by its haunches and pulling it tightly over one's head renders it to an unconcious state while keeping the wearer's head warm and hair pleasantly scented and moussed. Quote
JoshK Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Yeah, but considering the infrastructure of the two locations, I would imagine it is easier to escape that cold in Alaska than Mongolia. Those are some hearty folks. Quote
Distel32 Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 it's fine if you're in the city, but being in the countryside in winter is pretty cold....everyone dreads taking shits because you have no shelter. yeah the skins were a gift, warmest hat ever. the felt boots rock, but with no sole hey go out in a week or so, especially if you walk a lo in them, but they are less than $2 a pair. the guy sitting next to me didn't wear his gloves for the first 9hrs we were outside, and it was -30C, that was some crazy shit Quote
