I was just outside and it felt colder than usual:

Observed At: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Elevation: 4318 ft / 1316 m

-17 °F / -27 °C

Windchill: -33 °F / -36 °C

 

But still not as cold as this:

 

Observed At: Rinchinlhumbe, Mongolia

Elevation: 5194 ft / 1583 m

Grabbing a wild Mongolian snaffle by its haunches and pulling it tightly over one's head renders it to an unconcious state while keeping the wearer's head warm and hair pleasantly scented and moussed.

Yeah, but considering the infrastructure of the two locations, I would imagine it is easier to escape that cold in Alaska than Mongolia. Those are some hearty folks.

it's fine if you're in the city, but being in the countryside in winter is pretty cold....everyone dreads taking shits because you have no shelter.

 

yeah the skins were a gift, warmest hat ever. the felt boots rock, but with no sole hey go out in a week or so, especially if you walk a lo in them, but they are less than $2 a pair.

 

the guy sitting next to me didn't wear his gloves for the first 9hrs we were outside, and it was -30C, that was some crazy shit
