daler Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 (edited) Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know the early season ice is in full swing in RMNP with much to get after. Here are a couple of pictures of Deepe Freeze taken on Novmeber 3rd. Cheers, dale Edited November 8, 2005 by daler Quote
AFIVE Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Is that Vantage? The last time I checked Rocky Mountain National Park was NOT at Vantage. Dale how did Necrophilia look over to the right? Also, was the ice cragging area below Loch Vale in yet? Squid? Calamari? What else did you see!!? I'm jealous....I hate work!! Quote
Orange_Julius Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Is that Vantage? The last time I checked Rocky Mountain National Park was NOT at Vantage. That was a joke. Thanks for making it A-5 times funnier. Quote
MCash Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Why are you clipping bolts next to the ice instead of leading it with screws. Was the ice bad? Quote
daler Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 We actually started with Necro. It was in good shape thin ice and good mixed climbing with OK gear. Loch vale is shaping up nicely but needs a couple of weeks before it gets hacked up and can't heal. dale Quote
daler Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 I guess you have good eyes(or not)!!! There are no bolts on the climb- I placed two ice screws and the rock gear you see are Black Diamond C3 cams. cheers, Dale Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Whats your take on those C3s? Worth $70? Quote
Dru Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 He gets them for free. Of course he's going to tell you they are worth $70. Quote
