powderhound Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 I go to school at bozeman and learned to climb here, however not knowing the climbing in Oregon very well I was wondering if there is any waterfall ice within a two hour drive of salem. Is there any guide book that i could buy, or any info at all. Just looking for something to keep with it while I am away from the ice in highlite. Thanks Bryan Quote
wayne Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Sorry you got stuck in so-lame. Hop in the wagon and go to HOOD! Quote
curtveld Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 The basalt punchbowls of Silver Falls state park would be incredible if located in a colder climate - but they hardly ever freeze! Occasionally you'll get a long enough cold snap for some ice to form in the Columbia Gorge - Crown Point or Multnomah Falls area. Nothing remotely predictable though... Quote
