Ice Climbing Near Salem, OR

I am a student at MSU and will be returing home for thanksgiving and was curious as to where the closets ice climbing is around the Salem area.

I go to school at bozeman and learned to climb here, however not knowing the climbing in Oregon very well I was wondering if there is any waterfall ice within a two hour drive of salem. Is there any guide book that i could buy, or any info at all. Just looking for something to keep with it while I am away from the ice in highlite.

The basalt punchbowls of Silver Falls state park would be incredible if located in a colder climate - but they hardly ever freeze! Occasionally you'll get a long enough cold snap for some ice to form in the Columbia Gorge - Crown Point or Multnomah Falls area. Nothing remotely predictable though...
