ashw_justin
sweet. Reeal speedclimbers use tape. How much camera tilt, I have not been there. Not much, as far as I can tell.
Peter_Puget
The East Wall is an amazing cliff. It is steep at the bottom but gets lower angle near the top. So if the route looks vertical, it's an illusion. I haven't done the route in the video for about 28 years. It's 5.7. I can't remember if the second pitch has a roof or not. The last pitch of most of the routes have overhangs.
griz
cool stuff. Â I wonder how many camera guys they used? or if they just did a far away shot for the actual speed climb then went back and shot each section later. Â Be interesting to know. olyclimber
Peter, this was posted last week. You're old news! Pretty amazing though...was talking to somebody who said that Dan didn't stick that dyno on of his many times up the route, and fell back down to his launching point. Its on on of the Master's of Stone videos? Check out the other thread, I think it says there.
northvanclimber
Yeah, it's in Masters of Stone V. You can watch Dan miss the dyno and fall back to the previous hold. Kinda freeky to watch!
MCash
It is on Masters of Stone IV not V. V has Stef Davis and Dean Potter in it.

Off_White
And that's one of your good points!
Kevin_Matlock
They show some of this on MOS V, but not the part where he falls back. They also don't show the actual footage of his last 1500' free jump on the climbing rig when the rope decides to fail. R-I-P For those who haven't seen it, MOS V has an entire tribute to him with some insane shit. Go get it!
