Toast Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Can you think of a decent pub in Yakima? The Grants Brewpub is played out. Quote
archenemy Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 No. Just drive right through. Bring PBR if you are concerned about the DTs. No kidding--that place is wretched. Where are you headed to? Maybe there are some places on either side of Yakimup that you might want to try out? Quote
Alex Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Keg and Cork (I think its called?) Downtown, near the jail Quote
archenemy Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Good idea. Stop in for a few beers right next to a cop shop. You can cut out the middleman that way. Quote
ogre Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 first, go to the Fred Meyers for your drink. I recommend Bridgeport Brewing's IPA. Then go to Miners "burger joint" in Union Gap and order the "Big Miner Duoble with a large fries. I'm sure you will enjoy both............... please send your response to "who's your daddy" . ogre Quote
sobo Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Christ, amateurs! Alex has it right. Bob's Keg and Cork, across the street from the old Grants. Arch, you're fuhqued on this one. That's the *jail* next door to Bob's. YPD is six blocks away on the other side of 1st Street. The guards at the jail couldn't give a shit about your driving in the "pub crawl" district, unless you just ran someone over. Yeesh! And if you don't like the pub fare at Bob's, there's great food around the corner in the Barrel House (the old Blue Banjo haunt). Also, there's the Warehouse Pub in Glenwood Square on Tieton Drive around about 52nd or 53rd Avenue. It's upstairs in an old apple warehouse. Grant's new location is (was??) downstairs in the same building. There's also Zesta Cucina in the same building with a nice bar and good food. And skip Miner's burgers; they got busted for a ptomaine rap a few months/mebbe a year ago. Quote
marylou Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Not necessarily pubbish, but you can't swing a cat over your head in Yakima without hitting another really good Mexican restaurant. Plus it provides an excellent excuse to swing a cat over your head. While you're at it, stop by the Food Pavilion you can see from the freeway. They make their own tortillas there....yuhhmmeee. Quote
