knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 The fall weather has hardly begun and I'm already feeling the winter blahs. What do y'all do during the dark, rainy evenings of fall and winter? Think I'll start going to the gym. And maybe buy some full-spectrum lights. Quote
selkirk Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Time to go to Vantage or Tieton over the weekend! Well that and drink heavily and have lots of sex. Quote

TREETOAD Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 A trip to Baja is always good and cheap. Fly or drive, to San Diego and bus down to San Quintine Stay at the El Presidente and do fuck all, all fucking day. Very relaxing. Then hitchhike home, just to make it interesting. Quote
TREETOAD Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Nice handgun. Did you get that for graduation? Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Time to go to Vantage or Tieton over the weekend! Well that and drink heavily and have lots of sex. This is a plan, man. In fact, I got some sun at Vantage last weekend. But what about Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night... I guess there's always the heavy drinking. And if you have fun in the sun to look forward to on the weekend, the dark, rainy weeknights aren't so hard to tolerate. Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Nice handgun. Did you get that for graduation? Yes, from the police academy. It's a Hello Kitty handgun! Every girlie should have one (especially on cc.com). Quote
TREETOAD Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I hear that you are not allowed to carry anything bigger than a 22 short in grade school is that true? Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Couldn't say. How young do you think I am, anyway?! Quote
ChrisT Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 You could always take up knitting - you might be old enough. I've already finished a scarf, slippers and I'm working on a blanket and socks from last winter. Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Hey, a fellow knitter! As it turns out, I am an avid knitter. Started last fall, and got hooked. I've even thought I might need to join Knitters Anonymous. I wish I could knit while driving! I'm working on a baby blanket for a friend's newborn right now. And a scarf. I guess it's something I do so regularly, it doesn't fill "the void" on winter nights. If only I had a fireplace to sit in front of, and a rocking chair, and a bottle of whiskey... Quote

Sitting around the fireplace, we call that "Lopez TV" Quote
ChrisT Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 That's funny because I AM sitting in front of a fire...knitting...and posting! Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Not sure, but you are a laugh. If you must know, I'm pushing 40. I'm pushing it away, but it keeps advancing. But SnowByrd says I look 29, so hey, that's cool. And they say that 40 is the new 30 (although I'm sure that was coined by a self-deluded, washed out 40-something). Quote
knotzen Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 BG, do you live on Lopez? And why weren't you at rope-up? Quote
