TeleRoss Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 does anyone know the status of the 2005 Northwest Mountaineering Journal? Last I saw I thought it was going to be out Memorial Weekend? Lowell? Quote
Alex Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 It is currently in final stage of production, will be released shortly. Thanks, Alex Quote
wayne Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Those guys get paid so well for doing that publication< It should be soon. Quote
klenke Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 The reason for the delay is the MEU (Mountaineering Editors Union) voted to go on strike. We wanted a better 401k company match and new desk chairs. How can we be expected to work under such conditions? We'll be sure to pass along the cost increases to our customers. Quote
wayne Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Just like corporate america, getting rich, off of our dreams. Quote
Lowell_Skoog Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Thanks for your interest, Ross. Memorial Day was our target date, but as you can see, we've slipped a bit. Our unusual winter was partly responsible, due to many late breaking climb reports. We're continually trying to figure out how to manage the NWMJ task better, and I hope we can get closer to our target date next year. Thanks for your patience. I hope the 2005 NWMJ will seem worth the wait... Quote
jmace Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 is there a link to the second edition someone could post, thanks Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Hang on -- shouldn't be too much longer. We're negotiating a new contract with the capital letters after they went on strike. Quote
jmace Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 hahah , no worries, I thought I missed it somewhere Quote
