I cannot think of any answer they could give that would keep me from asking this: "Why, then, are alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and supersized "happy" meals legal?" Maybe the question should be reframed as: Why isn't marijuana legal? How would alcohol and tobacco sales be affected if marijuana were legal and regulated for sale? The supreme court decision has not commanded that MJ be illegal. It only says that in this case the executive branch has the power to enforce a federal law that contradicts state laws. I challenge anyone to answer my questions in a way that shows that any one of those "indulgences" has any reason to be illegal/legal different than the others.
