It's not like they have anything else to worry about, like remembering algebra and job stuff. They don't seem that highly evolved to me. I almost always remember where I leave my keys, and I'm like 3 times more important than the squirrels in my neighborhood. I just don't understand why it is they can't remember shit. Squirrels.
