stinkyclimber Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 i saw two beavers on the dock outside my house this morning. at least, i think they were beavers. i've heard they live in the area but in the 4 on and off years i've lived there i'd never seen any! I know this has degenerated into an Otter thread, but 2 days ago I very nearly ran over a beaver on my bike - it was walking along the riverside bike path, in the dark. Then last night biking home, I saw a muskrat. No otters yet. Quote

Dru Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 if you have a camera handy, maybe you can take some pictures and show off your beaver here actually, i've got TWO beavers! Â looks like you have a banana on the beach too Quote
snugtop Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 You otter watch out. There's a nutria rodent in town! Â Quote
Ducknut Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Nutria are naturalized in the NW also. Bad news for native wildlife and habitat. They'll also do a number on your dog with them big beaver like teeth. Strangely, the nutria I see all seem to die soon after our interaction. Quote
Dru Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Are nutria nutritious? I know you can eat beaver. Quote
snugtop Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 get your blackened nutria or nutria fettucini Quote
Dru Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 If these nutria were on your chin, would they be chin nutria? Quote

Thinker Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 You otter watch out. There's a nutria rodent in town!  "the nutria, a large, burrowing, oversexed rodent with an insatiable appetite for flood-control canals--that means a dose of maximum justice"  sounds almost like a lot of the folks here  "the cc.comer, a large, spraying, over-sexed rodent with an insatiable appetite for flaming newbies with foul language--that means a dose of maximum justice." TheOtter Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Â Goddamnit!! That's my fiance with my best-man-to-be!!!! Â They otter not be out together at our "special spot". Quote
thelawgoddess Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Goddamnit!! That's my fiance with my best-man-to-be!!!! Â They otter not be out together at our "special spot". Â well, your best-man-to-be took a big dump on our dock and was doing his best to impress his lady friend with how much he could urinate in one go. if she's impressed by that type of behavior, i'd say let her go and find anotter. snugtop Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 The Nutria would so kick the Otter's tail. Â But if you bred a nutria with an otter would you get --ohmygod -- a notter? Quote
TheOtter Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 The Nutria would so kick the Otter's tail. Â Â Are you kidding!!?!? You otter have your head examined! Â My uncle Juan (he's a giant Peruvian otter by the way) is 1.8m long and weighs 30kg. He would pulverize one of those little glorified water gophers you call "nutria". Quote
snugtop Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 you're evading the question...have you ever humped a nutria? Quote
TheOtter Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Â Hey - What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Quote

Also the Pearl seems to be infested. Hard luck on all those folks paying $1M for condos down there. Â OK, back to otters... Quote
