AlpineK Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 And is there an increase in mountain goat death when Mike Layton is climbing in a region. Quote
mattp Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Mountain Goats have an aggressive social structure. The goats often push and shove each other –sometimes falling off cliffs. Adults will sometimes lift smaller goats and toss them, although the victims usually manage to catch themselves.... ...most deaths occur as a result of rockslides or avalanches. Mountain goats will occasionally fall to their deaths. Oreamnos Americanus Quote

rbw1966 Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 There was an article in the Oregonian about how the forest service is re-introducing mountain goats into the Columbia River gorge. Layton won't have to travel nearly as far. Quote
specialed Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Now I know why Layton was wearing those ziperless Schoeller pants last time we went climbing. Quote
