archenemy Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Dicky Dolma. Hauls grain too...never know when that'll come in handy. "I once heaved a sack of grain half a kilometer uphill with a boy from the village. We took turns carrying it on our backs and by the end he was reduced to tears so I offered to do his share as well," recalls Dolma who has also been the national women's ski champion for over a decade. Dru Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 "It goes, boys" - Lynn Hill describing the Nose. 12 years later, number of successful male leads, never mind in a day - 0 (Scott bUrke's toprope of great roof not counting as leading of course) Quote
David Trippett Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 (edited) here are the criteria.... 1. fred 2. not fred I saw a monkey in asia free solo a 14a, stop, take a one foot rest, upside down, on a one finger pocket, scratch, yawn and continue on for the send. I have never seen any 80 year old monkeys sleep in their Subaru . Fred is evolutionary. Not to mention he's the hometown hero. Pele' is the Fred Beckey of football(soccer). Michael Jordan is the Fred Beckey of Basketball. These are people whose skills will surely be eclipsed at some point, but they changed the game for all time. Freds presence permeates everything. He is truly a visionary. Edited April 7, 2005 by avitripp Quote
