cj001f Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 and apparently you can get a used Cessna for like 20K. The kicker is the maintenance and upkeep required for a plane. Many $k a year. The annual cost of ownership for a Cessna was on the order of $10k when I researched it. Thats alot of climbing trips. Flying clubs are a cheap way to learn to fly (usually), and allow the less than wealthy semi affordable access to a plan. Quote

jon Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Becoming a pilot and actually flying after you get your license is exspensive. If you really want to fly there are aerobatic pilots out there that will take you up for a small fee and make you wanna barf. Quote
