I'd think pretty much every year but may be others have a better idea (IdiotGroupie?). The lake is at 2300' and the NE side does not see the sun in winter. The local temp is colder than at an average 2300' location, but the climbs are exposed to avalanches so climbing there may not be advisable in marginal conditions.
