scrambled_legs Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Trying to find an ice climbing guide that covers the David Thompson area near Nordegg. The Waterfall Ice guide for the Canadian Rockies doesn't seem to cover that area. Anyone know of anything in print? Quote
Dru Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Dude you are looking in the wrong part of the Jo Jo. Quote
layton Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 do you mean climbs like Elliot Left, Kitty Hawk, 5 seven zero, 2 o'clock falls, and nothing but the breast? Â they are in the new and older edition of Waterfall ice. as far as Nordegg, i don't think there's much past the ones i mentioned (which are all good climbs). Â others in that area are 2 oclock falls, cline river ice, and c'est la vie. Quote
Dru Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 can't find the climb in the guidebook, how will you find your way up the route? Quote
DirtyHarry Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 How could you ever find the time to climb with so many things to do in the cultural mecca of Nordegg? Quote

Stemalot Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 If you happen to stay at Rampart hostel, can you see if there is a brand new (probably not now) Jo Jo's ice guide (second edition)? I lost my at that hostel back in the New Year. You might even find an original receipt in the back. Thanks a lot! Quote
