chris Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Everytime I try to run a Search, it only shows results since the "upgrade." Anyone else have this problem or am I just f*ing up? Quote
gapertimmy Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 check what date range options you are searching. i just did a search for rainier with the limitation of post must be older than 1 year and got lots of stuff about a dog named fido! Quote
chris Posted December 10, 2004 Author Posted December 10, 2004 OK, I figured out the date range options. It seems a bit silly that the default is for any messages newer than one day. But I can't find a way to just see the original post of each thread of my search, which was an option before the upgrade. Quote
Blake Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 using google and limiting it to "site:www.cascadeclimbers.com" is how i search this site now. it works great. Quote
cj001f Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 The current search limits you to posts less than 4 years old. Would it be possible to change the date range to search every post? I realize currently there isn't much that old, but soon there will be. Quote
Dr_Crash Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Where is the general search now? It used to be a link at the top... </dumb> Quote
Steddy Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 The current search limits you to posts less than 4 years old. Would it be possible to change the date range to search every post? I realize currently there isn't much that old, but soon there will be. how about a radio button to select entire available history - avoid the manual insertion and confusion for others? blakes google method is a nice resource (easy from the advanced search) - different results, of course. Pandora Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Where is the general search now? It used to be a link at the top... </dumb> In the upper righthand corner of the page. Click the drop-down menu just left of the "Go" button and select "Search forums.." Quote
