KaskadskyjKozak
The Darwin Awards are internet lore. I noticed a climbing-related award pending for 2004. http://www.darwinawards.com/ click on "Safety Rope?..." Has anyone on cc.com seen any award contenders out in the mountains? layton
if the father and son team died in the gorge this w/end, they'd have my vote.
barkernews
Do you have to die to win? I can think of hundreds of tourists who get trapped on Colorado mountains every year who should be nominated.

barkernews
There was one, clad in sweatshirt and jeans who died earlier this fall Yeah. Longs Peak. That dude was in the Boulder Field when he got trapped in a snowstorm. Apparently, he was a tourist from Japan who hiked up without any storm gear or water or food or shelter. Silly people. I thought the bad karma was accumulated by throwing empty bottles down on fellow climbers...

I can think of hundreds of tourists who get trapped on Colorado mountains every year who should be nominated. Reminds me of the time I got pinned by a VICIOUS hailstorm complete with biblical lightning up on Alice Pass at the end of Wild Basin in RMNP. Not fun. I could have been nominated for that.... barkernews
Yeah. I took my dad along on his first rock climb ever up on Hallett's Peak over the summer. Same thing. Could almost hear our caribiners humming. Shoulda known better...
