wally Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 hey Dave, why all the hate for Bush? Does it stem from a hate for God? Or is it because he can't make a point without stumbling over his words? Just curious to what drives you. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 Why do I hate Bush....death penity, abortion, Iraq, tax cuts.........the list goes on and on........... Quote
wally Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 your against the death penalty for those who kill others but support the right for doctors to murder little babies. thats interesting. Quote
JoshK Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 your against the death penalty for those who kill others but support the right for doctors to murder little babies. thats interesting. I think he is probably more against shitheads like you deciding what is right for a woman to do with her own body. Quote
wally Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I love how quick ya jump to insults. something wrong with a perspective different than yours? Quote
snoboy Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 your against the death penalty for those who kill others but support the right for doctors to murder little babies. thats interesting. Yeah, it's the sign of an advanced abiltiy to think for oneself, when you can actually hold two views, that to the less enlightened, seem to be diametrically opposed. Quote
wally Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 no wonder all the lefties love kerry. He is so good at thinking for himself that he takes multiple sides on every issue. And all along I thought he just had no backbone/principals. Now that I understand that putting murderers to death is not ok put killing babies hey thats all good as long as we all have our precious rights. Kerry is the man for me Quote
snoboy Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 no wonder all the lefties love kerry. News to me... anyways, back to the thinking for yourself idea? You might wanna look into that sometime. Quote
cracked Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 your against the death penalty for those who kill others but support the right for doctors to murder little babies. thats interesting. No, it makes perfect sense, otherwise you'd have to kill off the abortion doctors. And we couldn't have THAT, cuz then the docs couldn't knock off any more babies! Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 wally, please explain to me how a woman in Nebraska choosing to have an abortion affects your life. Is she forcing her beliefs on you in any way, shape, or form that affects your life? Because you're sure as hell affecting her life if you shove your beliefs down her throat by forcing her to have the child. Quote

Is she forcing her beliefs on you in any way, shape, or form that affects your life? Because you're sure as hell affecting her life if you shove your beliefs down her throat by forcing her to have the child. That argument is an insult to logic. How about if she has the baby, and decides six months after the birth that having a kid is too big a responsibility, so she grabs Dad's shotgun, and buries the body in the back yard. The murder wouldn't have any effect on your life. None whatsoever. And it would make her life much easier. Does that make it OK? Quote
foraker Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Kinda like the death penalty, right? I mean, you don't know if some rapist might not end up reforming himself and going on to win the Nobel Prize because he invented the cure for cancer that saved your daughter... Quote
JoshK Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 THe difference between a 6-month-old and a fetus which is still a part of the mother is pretty fucking big, cracked. That has to be one of the stupidest analogies I've seen in a while. Until that child is a seperate life (meaning *outside* of the mother...I don't care about anybody's religious definition) it is part of her body, and it's up to her to decide how to handle it. The very thinking that somehow we should be able to tell her what to do is simplistic and ignorant. Quote

That has to be one of the stupidest analogies I've seen in a while. You honestly don't understand that I was merely pointing out the error in his logic? Until that child is a seperate life (meaning *outside* of the mother...I don't care about anybody's religious definition) it is part of her body, and it's up to her to decide how to handle it. The very thinking that somehow we should be able to tell her what to do is simplistic and ignorant. Yeah, people should be able to do whatever they want, whenever they want. Anything else is simplistic and ignorant. I support abortion in select cases; however, I find the idea of using it as a method of birth control disagreeable. Quote
JoshK Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I support abortion in select cases; however, I find the idea of using it as a method of birth control disagreeable. I agree, I think it's a horrible misuse to use it for birth control. Despite this, it isn't my decision, your decision, or anybody elses except for the mother. Quote
