IJRosen Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Hey everyone - I realize this is a climbers board, and this is not about climbing, and I apologize for that. But I also realize there are a bunch of climbers who like Phish, so... I am looking for one ticket for Coventry. If anyone can help they will have good karma for their climbs and help out a long time head. Thanks, Ian Quote
Lambone Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Ian, I scored one off this site a week or two ago for face value....so it is possible, keep your hopes up. However this request would probly be better off in the Yard Sale forum. We'll see ya there bro. Quote
maxwell Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I have an extra ticket for Phish at Coventry, Sunday's show....except the viewing location is the Regal cinema in Portland. Will be kinda strange seeing them via satellite in a theater but I feel I need to at least check it out since I was obsessed with them in the mid-90's. Good luck on your search and have fun if you're going! Quote
b-rock Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Hippies! Yeah the simulcast will be weird. But damnit I need some sort of closure here... Quote
iain Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 ahhhhh, it's like when the backstreet boys simulcast in memorial colesium sighhhhhhhh. those regal cinema ushers will have their hands full. are you just supposed to sit there and eat junior mints and stuff? Quote
b-rock Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 The Phish website stresses that there can 'be absolutely no smoking in the theatres' Yup, that might be a bad scene. Brownies people, brownies! Quote
alienPDX Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I went to the last simulcast of the Coney Island show and it was as much fun as could be inside a movie theater. Glowsticks wars, dancing in the aisles, the phans made a good showing. Still weird watching a show from a theater instead of being in the crowd. Good stage views of the band, especially Trey's interactions with Page. Security was trying to keep people out of the aisles to no avail. Puffing was present but pretty minimal. I suggest the magic brownie or cookie route. Quote
ken4ord Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 What a waste of money. I went to a pHish show, (luckily I didn't pay for the ticket), I had to leave after the third song. I don't know what gives, their music is ok on disc, live they suck. I guess to each their own. Quote
iain Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 sacrilege! if fishman so much as farts into a mic it is pure brillance and worth dancing to. Quote
Lambone Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 yeah ken4ord, you wouldn't know good music if it shat on your moms face...STFU! Phish sucks, phish is stupid, phish is expensive...whawhawhahwahwha me a river. peace love and phishsticks couldn't imagine a better night.....welll, there is one more thing, but we don't have a good icon for it.... Quote
rbw1966 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 yeah ken4ord, you wouldn't know good music if it shat on your moms face...STFU! I find this offensive. Quote
cj001f Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 yeah ken4ord, you wouldn't know good music if it shat on your moms face...STFU! I find this offensive. Compared to Phish it's only midly nauseating Quote
Ricardo_Montalban Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 phish was great in 1990, seeing them with 100 other people. the bigger the venue, the worse they got Quote
MervGriffin Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I think these Phish guys and their music stink. Really stink. Like old fish, they stink. On the other hand, look what I'll be missing by not attending that concert! On the other hand, there is a fortune that can be made selling this: if you can only get them to use it! Quote
PeterM Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 It will be weird watching the last show on a movie screen. I don't want it to end Quote
Lambone Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 This is not why I like Phish. This is one reason I like Phish...pretty colors a la Chris Kuroda. hehehehe Quote
Alex Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 People who equate the Phish crowd to the Dead crowd clearly just don't know. Quote
dmin Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Well, Lambone, let's hear it. Where's your coventry tr? Did you get in? Have an epic stroll up the highway? Quote
Lambone Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 it's comming, still sorting it all out in my head...the whole thing was epic. Mud was the flavor of the weekend! Quote
dmin Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Mud...or cow shit? Based on the smell of everything I took with me, I'm going with the latter. Quote
