billcoe Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Tex, as I understand it, they caught a small group which didn't have the wire seating correctly on the nose. They fear that the carabiner would only have the gate open strength. They must have caught some with this after their regular QC, so thus the recall. Bill Quote
texplorer Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 Mine seem to be working good so far. I am tempted just to keep em and be damned. Quote

chucK Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Though difficult, I will give a reply more worthless than Lammy's: slkfhjs Quote
Lambone Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 not quite AS worthless as a carabiner that you can't trust. though they are good for waterbottels and keychains. Quote
Jedi Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Well, I'm hoping they fixed their problem (which looked pretty fixable). Planning on getting a couple dozen this fall. A notchless wiregate is a great design. I wish someone made a locking wiregate. Quote
