freak Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Anyone used a Dewalt 24 volt roto hammer for bolting? is it any good or should I just go with the bosch? Quote
Drederek Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Ever climbed DeWaltido? Or on the DeWaltton Marathon Block? Nuff said? DeWalt = Black and Decker = homeowner tools. Quote
chirp Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Im pretty fond of my Bosch Annihilator, 3 amp batteries and all. Bomber and a nice upgrade from my old bulldog. Cant really go wrong with the tried and true. Quote
freak Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 Is dewalt really for homeowners and sissys? Quote
DPS Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 DeWalt used to be an independant company until bought out by Black and Decker. DeWalt tools are, however, very different from Black and Decker. I worked as a carpenter for a number of years and own and use a DeWalt compound miter saw, circular saw, and sander. All excellent tools. The only tool I used that was not good was the impact hammer. It fell apart the first time I used it. Â It seems that different companies excell at making different tools. Porter Cable makes excellent routers, DeWalt makes excellent saws, Milwaulkee makes excellent reciprocating saws (Sawz-all) and Bosch makes excellent roto hammers. Quote
Alex Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 I have a Hilti TE-6A 36v rotohammer, and I like it. Parts and good bits are expensive, however. Quote
freak Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 if I can ever save enough money I will go with the bosch, cheers Quote
Marty Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 another good thing about the bosch is when you turbo charge it you only have to carry two 12V batteries instead of 3 with the 36V Hilti. Batteries are very heavy. Quote
