There's also an on-line guide for Spring Mountain and a bunch of other smaller guides I don't know about.  There's also the old Dodge books - Oregon Rock. None of these are for willamte valley but here goes  PRCII Portland Bouldering Guide Oregon Rock (smiff and stein's pillar) Climbing SW Oregon (goes as far north as wolf rock and Skinner Butte Collums) Rock N Road (has some remote crags listings but not much as far as directions) Smith Guide Dodge's Climbing Guide to Oregon (has some nice adventure climbing) I am trying to put up a website for Northern Willamtte Vally and Coast Range But it's still work in progress check it out at www.climb.rock.com or www.geocities.com/kingsmtman There is an Underground Menagerie guide By Jim Anglin Rockclimbing.com has some good Beta Not a guide book but there is climbing down by Lakeview that I know about.  That's all I have found so far.  -kip Edited June 27, 2004 by KingsMM Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

shapp Posted June 28, 2004 Share Posted June 28, 2004 Add to the list Bouldering guide to anthony lakes (pretty laim and total inacurate) Spring Mountain online guide by Kevin Pogue (great spot to climb) Â You will not find anything in the dodge guide of interest that isn't covered in newer guides, but if you must, check it out an major university library in WA or OR. Â There is a hiking guide to the Eagle Caps that breifly mentions the dihedrals upstream from Wallowa Lake, it has some lame topos that are totaly inacurate. Â All of the good climbing that I know of up in the coburg hills that is actually in the willamette valley is on private land except for the collumns. shapp Posted June 29, 2004 Share Posted June 29, 2004 I have climbed there and got busted a long long time ago. I have checked into the ownership, you can too on the web at the County website, and at least the access if not all of the land that all the good crags are on is private land. The climbing is pretty good, but don't risk getting busted. I don't think that there is any BLM land any where near the crags. The crags I am talking about are off of McKenzie View Drive.
