catbirdseat Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 My hours just got cut in half. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of afternoon cragging starting next week until I can find a new job. Getting off at 11 am, there are lots of possibilities, Index, Exit 32, Mt. Erie. Hmmm. Quote
chucK Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Perhaps you are not in the position to be requesting perks, but if you could I'd broach the subject of just working a 2-3 day week with longer hours. Say you wanna do your part to keep cars off the road or something. Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 30, 2004 Author Posted April 30, 2004 Naturally, that would be preferred, and yes I did ask. They want someone to work four hours every morning. Quote
Stefan Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Sorry to hear that your hours have been cut, becuase a cut in hours means a cut in pay...... Quote
thelawgoddess Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 I worked 12 hours this week. i worked 0. Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 30, 2004 Author Posted April 30, 2004 TLG, how do you finance your lifestyle? Quote
thelawgoddess Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 sugar daddies. just kidding. i did work all winter, ya know - full time. i just made sure it was the kind of job where i made okay enough money and - more importantly - could still ski (or climb some ice) *every* day. right now i'm just taking a little time off between jobs. don't worry, i will be back to work soon enough so you can stop being jealous. my current "lifestyle" is definitely a choice, and i must say i'm fairly happy with it for the time being.
